Massive Mobilization in Buenos Aires Against Israeli Actions

In recent weeks, the Argentine government has been repudiated for its explicit support of genocide, as well as for its alignment with the United States and Israel. The situation has worsened with the invasion of Lebanon and the bombings in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, Yemen, and Iran. In response to these actions, a march of repudiation against violence took place in Buenos Aires. The call highlighted the absence of Peronism and denounced the sending of Argentine military personnel for operations in the Red Sea under U.S. control.

In the mobilization, demands were made for the cessation of Zionist aggression in the region, support for the Palestinian people, the break of diplomatic relations with Israel, and the departure of the company Mekorot from Argentina. One of the strongest slogans was 'Enough arms to the genocidal state of Israel,' with the participation of organizations such as Fidai, Autoconvocados por Palestina, and Jews for Palestine.

During the march, an episode was mentioned in which a racist crowd from Maccabi Tel Aviv caused disturbances in Amsterdam by attacking Arab migrants and then denouncing a supposed 'pogrom.' It was also recalled that today marks the commemoration of the Declaration of Palestinian Independence, which took place in 1988.

The mobilization was attended by members of Jews for Palestine, emphasizing anti-Zionism not as anti-Semitism, but as a stance against oppression. The genocidal practices of Israel were denounced, indicating that they have caused the death of more than 43,000 people in Gaza. At the event, a tribute was paid to the 190 journalists killed in the conflict, highlighting that 44% of the victims are children.

The Argentine ambassador in Washington, recently appointed as head of the Foreign Ministry, was criticized for his relationship with Zionism. The mobilization ended near the U.S. embassy, where concrete actions against Israel and its policy in the region were demanded. At the event, various representatives spoke out to condemn the violence and demand justice for the Palestinian people.
